Meet Your Instructors

Kirsten Lindbloom

Kirsten started teaching for NCCC in 2018 when the partnership between Riverland Community College and the NCCC first formed. She’d already been teaching TORCH students and was the first Riverland faculty member to come on board to the NCCC. Since then, she’s taught a variety of classes, including Sociology, Psychology, Global Studies, Native American Studies, and Religions of the World.

NCCC instructor since: 2018

Favorite class to teach: “Criminology. Students are fascinated by the topic. We study real cases and use theory to try to explain the deviant behavior of people who commit crime. Students’ curiosity makes this class a fun and engaging topic.”

Brian
Tebbitt

Brian has been teaching Ethics, Logic, and Humanities I at the NCCC since 2023. He enjoys the smaller class sizes and working with nontraditional students, as he was one throughout his own college and grad school experiences. He values having in-depth discussions with students and getting to know them on their individual journeys through education. Being a part of that is central to why he chose to become a college instructor, which he carries through his work with the NCCC.

NCCC instructor since: 2023

Favorite class to teach: “I prefer [to teach] the Ethics and Humanities courses best since they are less formulaic and allow for in-depth class discussions on topics of life, history, and culture.”
